IZ2M & IZ2MH Stimulator

Choose between standard (micro stimulation with the IZ2M) or high current (macro stimulation with the IZ2MH). Easily configure your research setup with the IZ2M’s compact and rack-mountable form factor. Ensure continuous, clean electrical power supply with biomedical-grade electrical isolation.

Signals acquired on TDT’s RZ platform can be used to trigger the IZ2M Stimulator in less than a millisecond. Harness the power to control up to 128 channels (standard) or 64 channels in high current mode. High-quality converters provide over 80 dB of dynamic range from 30 nAmps to 300 microamps.

More Capabilities of the IZ2M Stimulators

The IZ2H and IZ2MH is a high current range version of the IZ2 and is available up to 64 stimulus channels and is rack mountable.

  • Delivers a maximum of 3 mAmps (300 μAmps for the IZ2M) of current per electrode up to 12 V on up to ten electrodes simultaneously.
  • The stimulator’s power supply has been validated to ensure 4,000 volts of isolation between the input and output, 1,500 volts of isolation between the input and ground, and 500 volts of isolation between the output and ground.
  • Full medical grade isolation between the mains power and the electrode outputs ensures electrical isolation, and additional safety features ensure safe operation at all times

IZ2 Stimulation Gizmos

Supported by Synapse for Easy Visual Configuration

The IZ2M Stimulator is used with the RZ Bioamp Processor as part of a programmable microstimulator system that delivers user-defined stimuli through multichannel electrodes.

The all new IZ2StimGen macro implements configuration and control of the IZ2M Stimulator. It supports monophasic or biphasic pulse train stimulation with up to four stimulus configurations. It features an easy to use interface for stimulus design, impedance checking, and real-time stimulus presentation through the IZ2M Control in Synapse.
