v104 Installation Fails on Windows 10

Issue

Installing TDT Drivers or TDT ActiveX fails and all changes are rolled back.

Solution

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 Redistributable is required. TDT Drivers needs the 32-bit (x86) runtime, and ActiveX x64 needs the 64-bit (x64) runtime.

Install both redistributables before installing TDT software, even on 64-bit Windows:

• x64: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

If the installer reports that the runtime is already installed, choose Repair.
