iPac Multi-Node Behavioral Controller

High Throughput Behavior

The iPac is a system for high throughput behavioral neuroscience, allowing you to run up to 8 behavioral experiments at the same time.

Manage all of your behavior boxes concurrently with independent behavioral paradigms. For example, control a self administration task in one chamber and a startle response in another.

Train subjects with the iPac and then seamlessly migrate your experimental animal to integrate with your fiber photometry or other neuroscience techniques, or scale up your behavioral neuroscience projects by running multiple paradigms and subjects at once.

Multiple Animals, Multiple Projects

The iPac gives you the flexibility to configure and run multiple behavioral modules.

TDT’s software stores all the training sessions for each subject – so you can automatically start where you left off.

Asynchronous Control Over Each Animal Paradigm

The iPac simplifies organizing experiments and animals.

  • Your iPac can have up to 8 nodes, which each run one iConZ, and one subject.
  • Combine your experiments into clusters – easily select which nodes and subject to run in a cluster.

Each subject is run asynchronously and independent of other subjects and behavioral paradigms.

Since each experiment operates asynchronously, the subjects run at their own pace. This lets them finish the tasks based on their behavioral state and not the experimenter.

Setup and Control Hardware and Software

The iPac is a complete environment for programming your behavioral paradigm, all using our user-friendly python based scripting language.

Easily configure hardware elements – such as cue lights and cameras- through the TDT Synapse software.

Real Time Visualization of Data

  • Track in real time as your subject flows through the different behavioral states.
  • View experimental metrics such as bar presses, drug administration, and other behavioral events.
  • Move smoothly between each subject’s experimental setup with a button click.

Multiple Views of Each Paradigm

Real time visualization of multiple cages and experimental paradigms, with options for different views and metrics for each one. There are no limits to how you can view and process your data.

Configure. Run. Track. Analyze.
