FAQs - SigGenRPI generated a Normalization file but the signal output values are incorrect. What is wrong? Why do I get a Device Not Found error when I try to use my SigGenRP file? How do I use SigGenRP to generate files for use in Matlab or CoolEdit? Can I use SigGenRP with both my System II and System 3 workstations? Where can I get a new SigGenRP manual? Question: I generated a Normalization file but the signal output values are incorrect. What is wrong? Answer: Make sure that all of your segments are generated in the frequency domain. Only segments generated in the frequency domain will use the normalization file. Question: Why do I get a Device Not Found error when I try to use my SigGenRP file? Answer: You might need to specify the exact device (RP2, RA16, RL2, or RV8) that is going to be used for stimulus generation in the Setup RP Device dialog box. By default an RP2 is selected. Question: How do I use SigGenRP to generate files for use in Matlab or CoolEdit? Answer: Signals generated in SigGenRP can be easily transformed to ‘mono 16Bit integer’ files by clicking on the ‘save wav’ option on the File menu. Keep in mind that these file use only the default values for variables. Question: Can I use SigGenRP with both my System II and System 3 workstations? Answer: SigGenRP can be used with either System II or System 3 hardware. To switch between System II and System 3 on the same PC you’ll need to make changes in the system registry.
You can switch between System 3 and System II by switching between TRUE and FALSE. The Peripherals option will only be activated when using SigGenRP with System II. When switching back to System 3, make sure that you check the Use Sys3 option in the signal setup. Question: Where can I get a new SigGenRP manual? Answer: Newly updated SigGenRP and BioSigRP manuals are available in a pdf format in the downloads area of the TDT Website. If you did not receive a hardcopy manual we would be happy to ship you a new one.
