Summary

Develops scientific software applications for Microsoft Windows and works with engineering and scientific departments in product development, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Write and maintain scientific applications for TDT's signal processing workstations.

Consult with engineers and scientific staff to develop operational and performance requirements of overall system.

Develop and direct software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and have the ability to work independently with very little supervision.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelors degree (B.A.) and four to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience must include:

  • 2 - 4 years of programming experience in Visual C++ and COM.
  • Prior experience in professional and product development.
  • Experience porting applications to 64-bit platforms a plus.
  • Experience with OpenGL, Qt, PIC programming and debugging, VB.NET, and Windows Forms / WPF a plus.  

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Math Skills

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, especially digital signal processing techniques.

Work Environment
