Expanding Customer Support

If you've called us for technical support lately, then you might have noticed some of the changes underway in our customer support department.  We've been hard at work making more resources available on the Web, improving the way we handle support issues, and expanding our support team.

With a long history of quality products and unlimited technical support, it’s no surprise that TDT is growing rapidly. With more customers and more TDT products in use than ever before, we’ve decided it’s time for our hardworking customer support group to do some growing too. Over the last several months we have added new technical and support staff to ensure that every TDT customer gets the support and assistance they expect.

April, a UF graduate with four years of customer service experience, recently joined us in a newly created customer advocate position. She is now your first point of contact whenever you call us for technical support. She’ll put you in touch with the best person to handle your questions and make sure that your problem is resolved to your satisfaction.

On the technical side we have added Bryan, who came to us with a background in computer science and physics at Georgia Tech.

Finally, we are building a database to streamline technical support questions. This database will ensure that users are informed of important technical support issues that relate to their research. Technical information, such as anomaly news and updates, will be made available either through our Website or, if necessary, by email or phone.

At TDT we are dedicated to providing the best customer support possible. If you have any questions or suggestions, please call us at 352-375-1623 or email customer@tdt.com.

OpenEx Now Available

OpenEx - the freedom to Experiment

This summer TDT released version 1.0 of the OpenEx Software Suite. This revolutionary new software got its start when TDT set out to develop software capable of meeting the data handling needs of multi-channel acquisition systems. The resulting software suite includes powerful data and hardware servers that can be accessed from task specific Windows applications that are suitable for a wide variety of research applications. The OpenEx core suite includes applications for experiment design, real-time control, data visualization, and data export.

OpenEx builds on the TDT tradition of versatility and modularity and is designed for the System 3 hardware platform. To help customers make the transition to OpenEx, TDT will work with each customer to design the first OpenEx experiment for their lab.

As the OpenEx user base expands, TDT will increase the number of example files, configuration files, and control sets available to OpenEx customers and will continue to develop task centered applications for the OpenEx platform.

Development tools are also available, allowing customers with programming experience to develop their own integrated applications.

New System 3 Hardware Products

Development never stops at TDT. We’ve recently introduced several new products for the System 3 hardware platform.

Loggerhead Data Acquisition
The Loggerhead (RA8GA) is a new general purpose data acquisition device for use with the RA16 Medusa base station. This eight-channel device allows for variable input voltage ranges from .1V to 10V.

Button Box
Our new button box (BBOX) is an easy to program subject interface and can be purchased in a standard configuration or customized to meet your needs.

Encoder Box
The encoder box  allows researchers to control stimulus parameters when access to a keyboard or mouse is not practical. This versatile encoder box can also be used for subject response tasks.

16-Channel Low-Impedance Headstage
This new  headstage (RA16LI) for our Medusa Amplifier System is ideal for high-channel count, low-impedance applications like slow wave potentials and EEGs.

Power Multiplexer
The power multiplexer (PM2R) provides powered signal switching for stimulus delivery. The PM2R offers fast switching times and excellent signal-to-noise ratio.

At TDT we’re striving to provide you with a total solution.

News Flash: TDT Moves North....

This month TDT moves north, but luckily there's still not much chance of snow in our future. Our new building is located just a few miles north of our present location. The new facility includes 15,000 square feet of manufacturing, laboratory, and administrative space. The new space is great, but we're really just moving for the cool new address.

Our new address will be:

11930 Research Circle
Alachua, FL 32615

Our current phone numbers will continue to connect to us for the next several months. We will make our new numbers available as soon as we are there to answer the phones.

We are excited about having a bit more room to accommodate the growing we’ve been doing and hope you'll forgive any temporary inconvenience caused by the move.
